Anthony J. Blackman is a Gospel Hip Hop artist, faith-driven entrepreneur, music producer, ordained minister, and community leader dedicated to transforming lives through faith, creativity, and service.

Born in Long Island, New York, and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Anthony’s early life was marked by adversity. As a teenager he struggled with addiction and became involved in the justice system, spending much of his youth incarcerated. After his release from the Mt. Meigs Serious Juvenile Offenders Institution, he later served nearly five additional years in prison.

On March 9, 2001, in Hollywood, Florida, Anthony experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ that redirected the course of his life. From that moment forward, his journey has been defined by faith, restoration, and a commitment to helping others discover freedom and purpose.

Determined to rebuild his life, Anthony pursued education and personal growth. In 2004, he earned his GED from Lindsey Hopkins Technical College in Miami, Florida, while completing a drug treatment program at the Miami Rescue Mission. He later earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Miami Dade College in 2011, and in 2019 received an Audio Technology Diploma from SAE Institute in Miami.

Anthony is the founder of Blackman Music Group, Inc., established in 2018 to use music, media, and creative outreach to inspire and educate young people. Through this work, Blackman Music Group was contracted by Miami-Dade Public Schools for three years to provide marketing and advertising using Hip Hop culture to help increase enrollment in technical education programs.

Anthony also volunteers in Shelby County Jail and Tennessee Department of Corrections facilities, where he shares his testimony and encourages incarcerated men to find hope, purpose, and transformation through Jesus Christ.

Anthony believes that no life is beyond redemption and that every person has the potential to become a force for good in their family, community, and generation.
